In 2015, I wrote and self-published my 'How to Self-Publish on CreateSpace and Kindle' book (link to Amazon, plus accompanying video training course). Sadly, in 2018, Amazon retired CreateSpace—and everything was then brought in under the Kindle/KDP umbrella—and the book was obsolete overnight.

However, what's important is:

  1. Writing, formatting, and readying your Word manuscript for self-publishing has hardly changed. (Even though the books says Easy Publishing with Word 2007, 2010, and 2013, from a book publishing point-of-view, hardly anything's changed.)
  2. The KDP publishing process (the actual uploading of your manuscript, the checks, etc., is now much simpler and more straightforward than ever*
